For Oysters on the Half Shell
Makes 2 cups will keep for few weeks in the refrigerator
MignonetteIn a Mason jar add all the above ingredients and shake well then let rest in the refrigerator for an hour till you start to see the shallots turn pinkish.
A mignonette is an accompaniment for Oysters, Add a tsp to every oyster and sip away, this will enhance the flavor of the oyster. No more need for lemon and cocktail sauce.
- ½ cup (125 mL) cider vinegar
- ½ cup (125 mL) white wine
- ½ cup (125 mL) sugar
- ½ cup (125 mL) shallots finely diced
- 3 tbsp. (45 mL) Spicy Pepper Sauce
